The Greats and the history

Here is a few of theme Roberto Clemente, Al Lopez  Juan  Malacalo.  These men all started out of the Puerto Rican winter league.

More than 50 percent of Puerto Rican MLB stars have started in the winter league or summer league few strt in the spring league.

                        Who's next?
The only Puerto Rican player in the minors as of now is Jose Reyes he is rated 2nd in the minors is really actually the only Puerto Rican minor leaguer who has not seen a second in the majors.

Looking to make a comeback to the majors is Carlos Baegra, who is now playing in the Puerto Rican winter league.

Jose Reyes SS Minor leagues now in Mets organization

Baegra in the majors

                      Who's the best?
The three men pictured are some of the best in the game and all of theme came out of Puerto Rico.  Another bunch of great Puerto Ricans are Rey Sanchez, Javy Lopez, Benito Santiago, Javier Vasquez, Bernie Williams, and Sandy Alomar junior.  The only two brothers to ever be on the same team and make it to the all-star game are the Alomar brothers.

Most Puerto Ricans that are in the MLB have loved the idea of playing back in there homeland (which is where the Expos are playing 65 games) some have not liked the idea and have stayed home when there teams went to Puerto Rico.

Shown right 12 time all-star and gold glover Ivan Rodriguez with teammate  non- Puerto Rican Alex Rodriguez (not related)

Bernie Williams 13 time all-star and winner of 8 gold gloves

11 Time all-star Robbie Alomar 2B and 11 time gold glove winner
